Hakata Machiya Folk Museum
Hakata Machiya Folk Museum located in Nakashu, Kawabata, Fukuoka. The museum is visited by many tourists and observers of history, because it contains the knowledge about the lifestyle of Japanese society at the famous Meiji period. There are three buildings where the two buildings is a replica of the existing building in the Meiji era.
Some of the items collected are boxes that are usually used to carry a variety of snacks, a comb made from wood, and there are also many kinds of dolls. The museum also has a panoramic view of everyday life in the Meiji Era society. There are also some paintings from famous artists such as Andy Warhol, Shigeru Aoki, Hanjiro Sakamoto, Joan Miro, Shigeru Aoki and March Chagall.
Fukuoka City Museum
Fukuoka City Museum was first opened for public in October 1990. Entering into the museum, you will be given an insight into the progress and development achieved by Fukuoka, as one of the most important city in Japan. The museum is located at Momochima district, not far from downtown.
The museum has a two-story building where the first floor is used for storage of various collections in the museum, office room, and special machinery rooms for staff. On the second floor is used for exhibition room.
Asian Art Museum
Asian Art Museum is often used as a reference for historical tourist destinations in Fukuoka. The museum is located in Fukuoka and was first established in March 1999 which aims to store and display various collections of art contemporary in Asia. This museum has various objects of art and artifacts in large numbers, which reach 17,000 collection.
Various works of art and artifacts in the museum is introduced and shown to the visitors freely. In this museum exhibitions are often held which aims to provide and showcase a variety of art and display a high level of artistic expression.
Fukuoka Art Museum
Fukuoka Art Museum is known as the home of several collections from oriental art, contemporary and pre-modern. There are three galleries in the museum: the art gallery, which is used to store works of art from the 20th century originating from Japan and other countries, a gallery for light art prints and images, and last is Japanese style paintings.
This museum will make you amazed with all the variety, which is very complete and antiques . Fukuoka Art Museum, in general, has a large collection of art that focuses in the artistry of the 20th century as well as many works that combines a local art and western.
Yusentei Park
Yusentei Park built by Tusgitaka Kuroda, who is a master at the 6th generation Kuroda clan. Yusentei Park is a very pleasant garden, green and has a stone creations that connect with a very elemental nature.
Yusentei park also has a pond which further adds exoticism and elegance. With panoramic views and all the natural beauty, the park is often being for background at the photo session from visitors who bring a camera. The park is recommended for you if you traveling to Fukuoka.
Toka Ebisu Shrine
Toka Ebisu Shrine is one of the three holy places in Japan. The other two are Nishinomiya Ebisu Shrine and the Osaka Imamiya Ebisu Shrine. Many people call Toka Ebisu Shrine is an Ebessan, believed to be the best place to plead for prosperity and success in business. Ebisu is one of the major deities in Japan, believed to be the god of wealth.
Toka Ebisu Shrine is dedicated to the Hatsu Ebius God, also known as Toka Ebisu. In this temple are also often held a festival called Toka Ebisu Festival which is usually held every year on January 8 to 12.
Uminonakamichi Marine Park
This beautiful marine park was first established in 1989 in the Cultural District Uminonakamichi Seaside Park Resort. The park is more focused on the lives of animals and plants in warm water. The park is not too far from Hakata Bay. There are many functions that are owned by the marine park as an amusement park, zoo, has a beach and a large aquarium that is the main attraction for the tourists.
Each visitor is likely to see a variety of organisms that live in the inhabited zones around Amami Oshima. Fukuoka marine park has a very large aquarium with a size that is able to filled with 2,000 gallons of water, which was originally to stay dolphins and sea lions that can be displayed to each visitor.
Komyozenji Temple
The temple is located in the city of Dazaifu, a city that is a bit far away from Fukuoka. Built in Kamakura Era, around 1275 BC. Kamakura Era is Running from 1185 to 1333 AD.
The temple is famous for its exquisite stone garden. This is very beautiful and tranquil gardens, so it is suitable for you if you don’t like any crowds.
